Undergoing a transformation… from caterpillar to butterfly (I hope!!)

I’ve decided to participate in ProBloggers 31 Days to building a better blog challenge, which “officially” begins on Monday April 6th, although Darren has had us doing things already to prep for the challenge.

It is my hope that by going through this, I can significantly improve this blog for you, the reader and user of the blog.

So, you’ll begin to see some transformations going on over the next 31 days… let me know what you think both likes and dislikes!

Yowzaa - 2 hits in 1 today…

Yesterday and today have been . . . insane!  My laptop’s harddrive (my brain, my life, my very existence) decided to retire young.  Way too young for my taste, but I didn’t have any say, it didn’t consult with me.  So, this weekend our tech guy is trying to reconstruct as much of the data as possible (yes, I do back up, but I’d still like to have the most recent update possible) and then he’s installing a new hard drive.  Then, I get the thankless task of reinstalling everything on my computer.  LOVELY.

If this wasn’t enough . . . my phone decided to retire as well.  Yep - apparently I’m a walking tech disaster right now :).  Phone’s already been replaced and it’s up and running so that one was an easy one (plus I got myself a new phone I love).

Anyway, all this to say, if I missed replying to an email or a message or getting connected with you, I sincerely apologize.  I hope to be catching up this weekend.

Peacocks of North Idaho - It’s all here . . .

Chuck, my husband, partner and real estate buyer specialist, was out showing property to clients the other day. They were in outlying areas such as Spirit Lake, Athol, Wolf Lodge, Harrison and St. Maries.

One of the properties they visited had pet peacocks. They were beautiful! He even got a 10 second video of 2 peacocks flirting…

Coeur d’Alene Lake & Spokane River Flooding - Spring 2008

It’s quite amazing really - so much snow + so much heat = so much water. Here are some pics of downtown Coeur d’Alene. I’ll be posting a video of the Post Falls dam flow in another post.

It’s Deja Vu in Idaho - Aftershock

Silverwood Theme Park is adding the largest, most expensive roller coaster it has ever purchased: A 191-foot steel ride almost twice the height of the park’s next highest roller coaster, Tremors.  The roller coaster formerly resided at Six Flags Great America near Chicago, under the name Deja Vu.”

Yep. lil’ole Idaho is getting a new fun roller coaster.

Visit Silverwood Theme Park for more details.

Why is this being posted on a real estate site?  I’m a roller coaster nut.  I just got back from California and while there, I had the opportunity to spend a day at Magic Mountain.  All I have to say is Tatsu is about the best coaster I’ve been on in many years.  IT ROCKS!

I “stumbled upon” this today - interesting . . .

F. Lewis Clark was born in Bangor, Maine, June 21, 1861. In 1884 he established the C. & O. Mill and elevator, the largest flouring mill in the Pacific Northwest. In 1910 Clark built a 15,000 sq. ft. mansion as a summer home in Hayden Lake, Idaho with his wife Winifred. The “Honeysuckle Lodge” was the most expensive home in Idaho at the time.In 1914 Clark mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again. His wife tried to manage the estate but by 1922 she was forced to sell all of her possessions. In 1989, Monty Danner bought and restored the property. It is now a country inn known as The Clark House.

I found this info by stumbling. Try it, it’s fun!
